Dr. Matthew P. Carter

Dr. Matthew P. Carter Psy.D. (Neuropsychology Resident)

Dr. Carter is a passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological assessment. He helps his clients with accurate and personalized diagnosis and treatment for various neurocognitive conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, dementia, cerebrovascular illness, Parkinson’s disease, and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Carter has a strong academic background and extensive clinical training. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College, and his M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) at Washington, D.C. He completed an accredited internship at the Mental Health Center of Florida, where he gained valuable experience in working with diverse populations and settings. He also provided clinical services at Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, Friendship Charter Public Schools in Washington, D.C., and The Mandala Center.

Dr. Carter is committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care to his clients. He uses evidence-based and culturally sensitive approaches to assess and address their unique needs and goals.
