Dr. Medina is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents. She conducts evaluations to assess for ADHD, Autism, learning disorders, and psychological disorders. She also provides gifted evaluations, post-concussion evaluations, and evaluations of children with medical disorders. In addition to assessment, Dr. Medina provides therapy for children, adolescents. Having previously trained and worked as a School Psychologist, Dr. Medina ensures that children with academic struggles receive the accommodations they need to succeed. Dr. Medina is Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Medina’s training in therapy and assessment allows her to provide comprehensive psychological care. An evaluation conducted by Dr. Medina will not only provide families with a clear understanding of their child’s strengths and weaknesses but will also provide concrete recommendations to address areas of concern.
Dr. Medina joined Carter Psychology Center after completing a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology within the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. She began her training at Swarthmore College and then attended the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University for her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. A Florida native, Dr. Medina returned home to join the Carter Psychology Center.
